Playground Rules - PLEASE READ! You will be held to this standard!

The Rules of the Two Wheeled Texans Forums

The Two Wheeled Texans goal:

It is our intent that Texas riders use this forum as a tool for meeting each other and developing the riding community. This is NOT a free for all anything goes forum like some other sites. ALL members will be held to the following rules:

1. Civility. This is a non-negotiable. When you visit this forum, as a guest or as a registered user, you are still a guest. You are expected to be on your best behavior. Personal slights, insults or other forms of attack against other users will not be tolerated. It does not matter if someone else started it first! Like Mom used to say, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" So mind your manners.

2. Freedom of Speech does not exist here. This is a privately owned forum and the First Amendment does not apply here. We encourage people to share their views, but it must be done in light of the rule of civility. The Admin/Mods will edit, lock, or delete ANY offending threads/posts as they deem necessary. Trolling just to stir up controversy will not be tolerated.

3. Content. Keep it clean. Foul language, vulgarity, sexually suggestive images, or other such nonsense will be deleted without prior warning. Users may receive a private warning after the fact to not repeat such inappropriate postings. Repeated infractions of this rule will result in banning of the offending user.

4. Images in Posts. Personal avatars and other images posted on the TWT forum must not violate the prohibition against sexually suggestive or vulgar content. Offending images will be promptly removed without prior warning. For information on how to post images, go here.

5. NO SPAM!. There is no free advertising on this site. If you have something you would like to bring to the attention of our members, you must first submit it to the Admin. We will consider it, but no promises. Unsolicited spam will be deleted without warning and may subject the user to having their account removed and/or banning. For more details regarding advertising policy, go here.

6.Race Spoilers. If you wish to post race results, please post in the Racing forum. Include in the title the word "SPOILERS" without making ANY reference to the race results in the title. Do not post the results in any other threads or forums. Many people record the races and watch them later and do not appreciate having the results announced before they see the race.

As a user, if you see any posts that you think are in violation of these rules, please notify the moderators or admin. In the lower left corner of all posts, there is a small red/white triangle. Clicking this will open up a reporting form. Fill it out and hit submit and we will take the approriate actions. You may also send a PM to the admin, but please include a link to the thread or post in question so we can find it.

If at any time you have any questions, complaints or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the site admin/owner: Tourmeister.

The number one rule for this forum!
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Eph 4:29 (NIV)
Think before you post. Leave out the vulgarity, personal attacks and foul language!

Quote:
"However lofty the goals, if the means be depraved, the result must reflect that depravity." - Leonard E. Read

Lies are fragile. They require constant attentiveness to keep them alive. The exposure of a single truth can rip through an ocean of lies, evaporating it instantly. - Brandon Smith

If you want government to intervene domestically, you’re a liberal. If you want government to intervene overseas, you’re a conservative. If you want government to intervene everywhere, you’re a moderate. If you don’t want government to intervene anywhere, you’re an extremist. — Joe Sobran

It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized discipline and one that most people consider to be a ‘dismal science.' But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance. – Murray N. Rothbard

When one possessed of the Truth suffers from a heavy heart he is susceptible to a more dangerous affliction — the craving for power to eradicate error, to cause Truth to triumph by force. - Frank Chodorov

Where politicians flourish, long history has harshly taught us, people and their liberty wither. Where the state is god and the "public interest" worshipped, individual man will be found bleeding upon the altar. - Karl Hess

The accepted wisdom is that without the state, society would collapse into lawlessness and crime. In fact, lawlessness and crime define the very nature of the state and the society organized by it. - Bionic Mosquito

But the myth of the rule of law does more than render the people submissive to state authority; it also turns them into the state's accomplices in the exercise of its power. For people who would ordinarily consider it a great evil to deprive individuals of their rights or oppress politically powerless minority groups will respond with patriotic fervor when these same actions are described as upholding the rule of law. - John Hasnas
