Well it looks as though Rocketman and myself are heading out to this in September. Who else wants to join us?

We have space for two more skilled riders to join us to share in the experence and travel expenses. If you ever dreamed about entering the Dakar rally, this is a chance to get your feet wet at 1/100 of the cost

Well we are back to two riders, me and Ken....We leave next Tuesday for Caliente, Nevada...I really should stay home and work etc but I guess I can do that when we get back....My bike is still sitting untouched since the 1100 mile August Lost Trail Ride....Got a few things to do....But it's a Honda so no big deal.....Change the oil and tires, lube the chain...Good to go....

If we're not having too much fun we'll try to bring back as many pics as possible....But....We heard it's being televised so that would be cool...

Better get on it quick.... Today's Wednesday..... Less than a week before we head out. :eek2:

Trailer is tuned up and ready. packed bearings, tighted lugs and check electrical.

on the moto:
Changed out the piston, fork seals and oil last weekend.

I need to...
Install stage one performance Cam (due to cam wear)
Change out to the Maxxis Desert IT
Mount new GPS holder and rally book holder and fairing.
Adjust lights
Clean air filters
check all bolts

Take her for a test run at Cross Creek this sunday.:rider:

Let me know if you need anything....
I have an extra HD roll chart holder if you need to borrow one. it's the smaller size but will work for the event.

I talked with Steve last night. They were just north of Las Vegas, heading south on I15 towards Tucson. They should be on I10 heading east by now.

I can't wait for the ride report. It really sounds like they had some great riding.

Steve said he can now camp out ... as long as someone else does the cooking.

Talked with them a bit ago ... They were stopping at the truck stop in Ozona. Steve wanted liver and onions. :eek2:

He thought they would be in by 11:00!
