Weatherman says a high of only 89 degrees on Saturday! Let's ride.

Meet in the Albertson's parking lot at the "Y" in Oak Hill at 8:00 a.m. for a 5-6 hour ride including lunch somewhere out in the hill country.

i'd like to join ya, but i don't want to slow you down. what's your intended mix of Highway vs. offroad? would you be embarresed to be seen with a Ural?

Is that your bike in your avatar? Sidecar? If so, you shoulda joined us for the ERC, that'v been cool to see you sweeping cones on a three legged beast.

that is my bike in the avatar. what's ERC? I think you meant SMASHING cones rather than sweeping.

Hey all,

No off-road at all. There will be some unpaved road, but nothing very hard - gravel and rock at most. No two-track, no ruts, no mud. Maybe a few water crossings, but again nothing particularly extreme. I will be riding a borrowed Wee-Strom with no bash plate and will be taking it easy. I figure a mix of 90/10 paved to unpaved. I won't be embarrased to be seen with a Ural if you aren't embarrased to be seen with a Wee-Strom.

I'm still working on the exact route, but want to be back in Austin between 1 - 2 p.m. (unless the group collectively twists my arm and makes me ride a couple of extra hours)

For some reason, I don't think the group would have to twist your arm very hard to get you to ride a couple of more hours. :rider: I'd go, but I'm on night shifts for another week or month or whenever my store is done being remodeled.

Have fun.

I am putting my Husky back together tomorrow, after retrieving my parts in the morning. That would be cool if I could catch up with y'all, but I am not sure when it will be up and going.

Have fun, and I will make the next one, too bad it will probably be 105 degrees by then.

Dog gone it - I wanted to see your Husky. Next time then.

I figure we will be at Riley's BBQ in Blanco about 11 a.m. if things work out getting that Husky back together in the morning.

Fellows,

It's about 7:45 a.m. and raining hard at my house. So, I'm calling this ride off due to bad weather. Will try to reschedule as soon as the weather permits.
