I've taken on a difficult project for this year. The goal is simple... take a decent picture of each of my daughters for every single day of 2015. The execution is anything but simple. My oldest daughter is now 4 and my youngest is 1. Back in 2012 I tried this project with my oldest daughter. I ended up losing my camera in December, and it ruined the whole project for me. I'm hoping to not get careless and lose another camera this year.

Below are the links to my Flickr albums where you can see every picture I've taken thus far. I usually update them daily.

I plan on updating this thread with the first picture of every month as well as my favorite of that month for each girl. Feel free to follow along with every picture in the albums from above or just this thread. :-D

Man are you going to have your hands full in 12-14 years.

I am constantly impressed with the clarity and sharpness of your images. Are you doing much to these in post or do you just have an incredibly awesome glass copy? :photo:

Thanks! I'm enjoying the years now while they aren't embarrassed of their daddy. 12-14 years.... :help:

Every shot up to 1/21 was taken with my D600. I really love primes, and I believe I have some good ones. :trust: On 1/22 my Fuji X100T arrived, and I've barely put it down since. It's such a fun camera to shoot with. I love the portability of it and it just plain works.

I can't leave a raw file alone, so I'm massaging every one every day. I use my standard sharpening method on all shots.

The 1 year old won't even look at me when I have the camera out now, even the Fuji. She literally ignores me, so I have to get creative and it's a real challenge.

When I try to view the EXIF data for the images, I get nothing. Are you stripping that info out of the image file somehow? I am just curious about the lens, exposure, etc,...

The images rock, not just in terms of exposure, but everything: composition, depth of field, exposure, sharpness, and so on... For someone not happy with the autofocus of the body, you sure seem to be dealing with it well :lol2:

I'm not sure why the EXIF isn't showing up. I don't strip it when I export from Lightroom, so . When you click on the individual photos in the Flickr albums, you should be able to see all the camera/lens info.

As for the D600, the first 22 pics were taken with it, then maybe 2-4 others since then. Everything else was with the Fuji X100t. I have high standards for my camera body, probably way too high. What you aren't seeing are all the missed shots. Sometimes it takes 30 to get a decent 1.

great pics, can't help but smile. I always liked watching my daughters when they didn't know I was looking.

I have two of those daughter things, yours are awesome too. Best photo thread ever.

Thanks guys. Hoping to finish the year strong and be done with this project. :lol2:
