There are similar postings from time to time on the western states off road boards. It used to be environmentalists, but most of the recent booby traps were attributed to hunters in the posts I've read. It is surprising that there are not more problem on the ET450 route.
Scary stuff. Years ago we found a piece of rope tied across a trail in New Waverly. It wasn't neck high but it would have sure put someone on their "6" if we hadn't seen it in time.
