Monday july 10th is my birthday and I just so happen to have that day off. So I'm going to treat myself to a short Clayton trip. Thinking about getting there Sunday afternoon doing a little riding around the state park. Wake up early and ride fast and hard until around 3:00 or 4:00.

What say yee, can anybody play hooky that Monday?

Well Happy birthday you old fart. Come down to the Houston area and I will go ride with you, I am feeling kind of sick:trust: . Have fun I just wish I was a little closer to DS heaven, I may just go ride the usual dirt roads (like the one where you lost your license plate.) I am off today so I may go geocaching.:rider:

I was going to ask you if you had a preference. Camping is fine by me, so the State Park is probably the best bet for that. Down at the bottom of the hill like last time?

I haven't worked out what time I'll be heading out on Sunday yet, though, but I'll keep you posted.

As far as where to ride goes . . . I have no set plan. I say we just head off down the trail and look for some smaller, more challenging type trails and see what we can find :D We hit every small little single track type trail we could find down in Broken Bow and wound up having a blast just exploring the smaller stuff.

Quick question about food . . . are you planning on cooking at camp, or eating at a restaurant? I usually like to do the camp-cooking thing, but I can leave all my kitchen crap at home if we're just going to be eating out.

I'm thinking eating out, It will probably be after lunch when I get there on Sunday, so that's just one meal on Sunday. Then Breakfast Monday, I will probably carry some no cook food with me Monday in case we're not close enough to civilisation to buy food. Depends on when we get back on Monday as to what I do for Dinner, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to ride to much on the highway at night. The lights on the XR leave a little to be desired.

That's what I figured. It's only going to be a couple meals and not worth dragging all that extra crap along if I don't need to.

See ya Sunday!
