Ya know, Brian, you might have put all this stuff on flea-bay and generated enuff $$$ to fix the Connie...
Instead, I guess you enjoy stirring up the pot more... ;-)

Nah... that's why it's a "pay it forward" kind of thing. I'm sure I could get a few bucks for it here and there, but the hassle's not worth it. I'm just cleaning out my office (a little) and finding stuff I haven't touched in years. It's not doing me any good so perhaps it will do someone else some good. And perhaps other folks will take the same mindset and offer to other members the things they have laying around the house.
I could have put this up on freecycle.com but I'd prefer to share with my "friends" first - even those that razz me for my lack of transportation. :-P

I might just have to look around and get rid of some junk... er, I mean, stuff that others could use...

Ah, yes... but wait till next week's stereo system giveaway. ;-)
It's amazing what you find when you start cleaning out stuff...
The framed lightning poster of Kitt Peak that I had mentioned in the Stargazing thread. I thought I had gotten rid of that years ago. I think I bought it on one of my astronomy field trips to Kitt Peak back in 197... errr.... a while back.
My grandmother's 1911 xmas present... Golden Hours With Mother Goose with color illustrations. Current value - $100 or more. This is because the illustrator is the woman that later became the illustrator of the Campbell Soup Kids.
My Lifetime membership plaque to the National Street Rod Association (#627 & signed by Dick Wells).
American Graffitti and Open Range movie promo displays.
Mark Twain illustration (about 2' x 4') still in the wrapper. This is from a Barnes & Noble store display that never got used.
Several of my old Who's Who in America plaques.
A citation for my dad from when he was an airborne radio operator on the B-29 during Korea.
And lots, lots, lots more. I am the king of the packrats. I still have my first stereo system that I bought with my paper route money. For you youngsters out there, a paper route was something you did as a kid to earn spending money. You got up at 4 am, got your newspapers about 4:30, folded them, put them in your bag or the baskets on your bike and then you started pedaling. If you were good you were home by 6:30, had some breakfast, and then caught the school bus at 7:15.

SRADkneedragger, that's either a very tall lady or a very small bike!
I'm going with 17 again, it's the only number I remember.

I'm glad I asked. I didn't notice that portion of the numeral. It looks like an upside down 7.

I'm going with 17 again, it's the only number I remember. The actual number was 19 so Danny takes this one. Let me know if you want it mailed or if you'll be in town at some point. I don't have a problem holding it if you're heading this way. If you want it mailed, email me your name/address and I'll get it shipped out. I'll follow up with the actual mailing costs and you can send me a check or paypal.

COOL! I really can't remember the last time I won anything. Surely this will help my pre-senile dementia traits that so endear me to my acquaintances!
E-mail is on the way, TX T. Thanks, again!
