My niece turns .5 years old this month, so my sister-in-law asked me to take some photos. Big brother got in on the action too. I thought I would share some of my favorites from last weekend. Here's a link to the full album if you are interested.

Very nice!!

I especially like numbers 1, 3, and 6. I like 7 too, but against the white background, she kind of washes out. Maybe a different color background?

Thanks, Scott. I agree with the background on the last one, but that's what momma asked for.

Kory, you know..... you're going to have to get us all up to your neck of the woods and give us a post-processing seminar on how you pull this off. Those muted colors are absolutely hypnotic as is your continued use of a shallow DOF.

Thanks, Scott. Funny you mentioned muted colors. For these, I thought I really made them saturated and contrasted, almost too much so. :lol2: I'm just pushing around sliders in LR. Post processing drives me crazy. I wish I didn't care so much about the final product. I feel like I have to edit differently for each and every lens I have to try to achieve a similar result.

I still wish I could have made it to Duke's Photo Expo a while back. Maybe there will be another one some day.
