Details are still sketchy, but my grandmother was injured today.
from what the paramedics told my mom/dad its just bruising but she's going to into xrays to get it checked out.
I'll post more info when I hear more.
If you would please keep both her and my grandfather in your prayers that would be absolutely wonderful.

Just got off the phone with mom. She talked to the Dr's.
Both of her clavicles, both of her scapulas, and ribs on both sides are broken.
both of her lungs are punctured.
She's on more morphine and surgery is scheduled.
Thanks for the prayer.

I will keep your grandparents in my prayers. Is there any family close to them to help when your grandmother comes home?

Fortunately my parents, and uncle all live w/in 15min of them. I'm 10min away. and my dad works with my grandfather at their auto-repair shop.
my aunt lives in the woodlands, so I'm sure she'll be on the way up.
My adopted aunt lives with them but she's not going to be much help :-|
on the plus side we have a bunch of family in the area and a very supportive church. The prayer chains were all up and active as soon as we heard what happened.
Thank you all for your prayers

I'm not quite sure how you miss those types of injuries. We'll keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

Man! What happened to her? That is a lot of damage!
Missed your post earlier, sorry.
My grandfather and her were out towing a customers car back to the shop. somehow she got caught between the corner of the house and the mirror bracket of the towtruck (one shoulder against each) and he didn't realize it.
To say the least he's not taking it very well. I've never seen him cry until today.
The decided not to do surgery because her lungs were holding themselves up and they said that if they've stayed up this long, they probably won't collapse. Lets hope they don't.
Thank you all so much for your prayers. I know they mean the world to me, and i'm sure they do to both my grandparents as well.

She's doing better. She got out of Surgery to pin her left clavicle back together.
putting that clavicle back together has made a world of difference in her pain. She's still busted up pretty good. but she's more the grandma that I know :)
Thank you very much for your prayers!

I hope your Grandmother is continuing to improve. Give your Grandfather our best wishes and I hope he is able to deal with this. It sounds like they'll continue to share a happy life together.
God's Blessings,
David

She is doing better. she's still got a long ways to go. but its coming
she'll be in the hospital for at least the remainder of the week. There's a good chance that she will go to rehab after the hospital. I really hope that she does go to rehab so she won't over do herself right when she gets home. let her heal before going back to the "real" world.
Thank you so much for all of your prayers! I know they mean the world to me. And i know prayers matter a lot in everything.

She is a tough lady!
They moved her to Rehab last monday and she is doing quite well. They were supposed to do an assessment today and that would determine how long she had to stay there. I've not heard the results of that yet.
Thank you all for your prayers

They are going to let my grandma out of the rehab facility this coming saturday.
Now that she's going to be home, we've got to figure out how to keep her from over-doing herself...
course getting my grandfather and their daughter to pitch in an help is going to be the hardest part
