View Full Version : New bike?
My wife is up to something. She just told me I should buy a new bike. I was working on "...well, you know the DRZ is going to need a little work to get ready for the Mexico trip, thinking about a gas tank, saddlebag thingy, gearing, that sort of stuff." She said, well, you've been working so hard, and haven't been anywhere, why don't you just go buy a new bike. So, help me out, my brothers, what should I do?

This is easy....Smile sweetly, suck up and head out anywhere and get a new bike before there's time for anything to get in the way......Oh yeah....Remind her what a great guy you are after you've been riding for a few days and that anyone employed in the Petro Chemical Industry right now is sitting pretty sweet!!!!
As for what to buy....Check my signature line for my choices.....
I'm patrial to the XR650L.
I'm scared of another 50# (claimed) weight. Can you elaborate on why you are partial to the L? I'm not afraid of a little kicking... (my DRZ is one of the rare kick versions, had an 83 XR600L and knee ligaments to prove it)

Hoop, I just reviewed your poll.....Where are you going to get a new XR600 to Dual Sport?
Do you mean an XR650R?
Get moving on this ASAP and then bring the new ride to terlingua in November!!
yeah, I'm living in the past, I meant the XR650R, but wouldn't I be just as happy with an XR600? When did they stop making the 600?
What makes you think I'd be able to do 2 rides in 3 months, when I haven't made a ride this year?
