Wonderful period film documenting the scrambling MC industry in Britain in the early 60's. Features Greeves, a whole lot of pin-ups on grubby shed walls, foot pumps & a refreshing amount of sheer fun.

The race featured in the 2nd part is Hawkestone Park, still a motocross track today.

Growing up in the UK, scrambles/motocross was often featured on sports programing. Here's the irrepressible Murray Walker announcing just such a race on Grandstand, the BBC equivalent of Wide World of Sports.

A further search of Youtube will garner much additional footage from Hawkstone, most with Murray at the microphone.

Very cool. I enjoyed that.

Great vids! Almost missed the pin-ups! It's bad when you notice a Honda street bike parked on the side and you recognize it! Must be getting old!

The black and white races was great. It was almost like Motogp 3, you didn't know who was going to win until the finish line! :-P

Made my day! ;-)

Oh wow, I though that home built bike had an Amal Grand Prix, but no. Maybe it's a Villiers or something. Some great bikes including at least one Hornet and a handful of old Husky's. I noticed that Honda too. Pretty cool.
