I was looking on newenough.com for some new boots to go with my equally new Strom 650. I was expecting to go with the Oxtar Matrix since a lot of people have recommended them.

Then I ran across these and liked the looks. I had never heard of them, but after researching a bit it looks like they are basically a Sidi 'economy' brand.

Anybody wearing a pair by chance?? I would like to get some feedback on the brand.

I have a pair of the first setup boots they sold about 2 years ago. Mine are more race oriented than the ones you have pictured. They fit fine and are my commuting boots. They do what a pair of inexpensive Sidi's do on the cheap. They are made by Sidi so I suppose that makes sense.

I have a pair that's more like the Gran Prix boots shown on the site. So far, so good. Supposedly made by Sidi but branded Setup to allow for lower prices (greater marketshare) while protecting the Sidi brand.
