Just got it in the email. How sad! I bought most of my stuff from this guy. He is too cool. Dallas is a lucky city!!!

Peter Gould, longtime Honda of Houston associate and famous English guy, is moving to Dallas at the end of the month. We will be having a little going away get-together for him this Saturday night, 7:30 or so, starting at the Red Lion Pub on S. Shepherd Dr. http://www.redlionh ouston.com/ location. htm

Couple other people I've met have left HofH in the last few months.

So they meet you and leave town? Can I introduce you to my boss?

Stephen Porter left HoH not long ago, but it was on good terms, not because of any problems at the shop. He just got a sweet deal elsewhere he could not say no too ;-) I think he is out in Oregon somewhere now :dude:

There may be something to that. Hmmmmm...., naw. I only met them briefly so I doubt my sparkling personality caused them to leave.

JR Garza was the other.

Where did JR go? I did not realize he had left.

JR got out of the MC industry and went into the Construction business w/relatives.
He still shows up occasionally at the Classic Car meet at the Richmond Arms.

That is too bad. Peter is a great guy. He actually made it enjoyable for me to part with some of my $$. ;-)

For those that can't make Sat night and still want to bid him farewell, he'll be at Ming's tonight for Euro bike night. He's a great guy and as Mike said, always made it nice to actually be parting with my money.
Now for the good news.... he will be at Ducati of Dallas (new AMS shop that just opened) !!!:dude: :trust:  Looks like I'll soon be parting ways with more of my money... hey Will, when you bringing the check for my KLR?

I've known Pete since his old British USA days, many years ago. He's a good guy. He'll do well in Dallas.

I think I've met this guy through a friend that's really into his Honda Ruckus. I was about to buy an Aprilia Scooter from him but my gf didn't like how it looked. :-\
Good luck to Peter.

I was at the grand opening for the AMS Ducati shop a few weeks back, its just a couple blocks over from my office. They had an orange monster 800 that I almost bought from Jeff Nash. I will have a Duc one day, but really looking forward to a 1000 :)
Maybe I will have to stop in and say hi to him!

I guess I will have to buy him a pint, just to pour on his stupid head. This guy thinks he knows everything, but he doeesnt know jack. I dont know why all you wankers believe the BS this guy unloads on you. Thank god the air in Houston will be a little cleaner with him gone. And whats with the stupid hair? I though Frank Zappa was dead!

Rubberdown, given that this is your first post, I have no history by which to gauge if you are joking or not. If you are not joking, the post is going to be removed. If you are joking, for future reference, smilies should be used to help readers see that.
Welcome to the site ;-)

Well jeez Rubber Down. It sounds to me like this guy has a lot more credability than you. To just come into a group of strangers and start talking noise about someone doesn't show too much respect to anybody. For all we know, you could just be some 8 year old, trying to get a rise out of the board.

I picked mine up Saturday at 6 pm (in Miami) and had done over 1300 miles when I pulled into my driveway Monday at noon.
More since then but who is counting!

Wow, I think you kids misunderstood. But what can you expect from a bunch of web-board geeks. I pulled almost 45,000 miles last year on my bikes. :rider: And obviously you are counting. I dont think I belong here... all of you have had your bikes less than 6 months, wait until the new rubs off and you get wet behind your ears before you lecture me on miles ridden. O and by the way, Frank Zappa knows who I am so please be sure to let him know I am ruining his good name. Now we might finally get some decent staff at Honda of Houston. I hear the new kid there is pretty good, and at least he knows what flag to fly.

Hmmmm, well not to drag this on.... but its just my latest new bike. I have logged way more miles than reported ;)
But maybe you are right :)
...I dont think I belong here...
I couldn't agree more!

Ryan alias Rubberdown, are you jealous because your DFW's Sportbike Websource http://www.rubberdown.com/forum/ is a dead duck? I don't think this is the proper way to promote your site. JMO

Hey people CHILL OUT! :zen:
I don't need everyone jumping on a new person for me :shame: I gave him a chance to explain his post one way or the other and none of your followup comments helped one bit, and instead made what may have been a humorous inside joke an ugly welcoming for a new member. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he is new. I had hoped others might do likewise
