Big Bend Bound

A buddy & I are leaving for BB tomorrow, taking a coupla KLRs to do some duel sport riding. If any one happens to be out there and sees 2 guys on red KLRs, flag us down. Monday we will be riding the River Road in the Park, Tuesday Old Ore Road, Thursday will be riding up into Big Bend State Ranch.

OMG..why in the middle of the summer? I think last week it hit close to 107 in the park. Make sure you guys are drinking lots of water. That's not a place you want to fall ill due to dehydration.

It's been that hot up here for nearly two weeks w/ the addition of high humidity. I'm going out there to cool off! It doesn't get real hot out there until about 2:00 pm and lots of the higher areas away from the river don't get to 100. This is the wet season so flash floods may be more of problem than the heat. We will be taking ALOT of water w/ us. Will report in when we get back.

Hi Steve. I wish I could make that ride w/ you guys, but I was already committed to this trip and can't swing both of them. I promis we will enjoy the ranch. I haven't been out since the end of May, and I can't wait to get back out there.

I don't think anybody has plans to be there at that time. If you guys want to make a rest stop there let me know & I'll email you the gate combination. Or heck, I might just have to make a weekend speed run out there and see ya'll at the ranch!
