Cool.

Where was the creek crossing?

Had a blast! Hopefully We can get out there again some time. This area is certainly more interesting than the usual one!

Did anyone save a GPS track from the ride?

No but I'll take you. ha. I'm sure you've ridden it all at sometime, nothing magical or new unfortunately.

I've never done a water crossing anywhere around here. Everything I have seen has bridges.

You sure? There's 2 on this loop around Groveton, the big one is east off 287. When wet, can be a booger to get to.

Looks like Baker Ln to Little Kickapoo rd. Baker runs off FM 355 out of Groveton. I run it from 287 on Jamerson or something like that.

Found it. I am pretty sure I've never ridden that before. The map shows a ton of roads in that area, but while exploring it years ago I found tons of dead ends and locked gates, so I basically quit trying to ride in that area

Fountain Rd also off 355 further down towards Trinity end has a crossing and that road can brutal if not recently graded.

Looks familar Rob. Is that the same water crossing from a couple years ago? Right after that muddy road I dropped twice on and the pickup truck got hopelessly stuck trying to go around me? You took and sent me this photo showing the bank on the other side I believe.

That could be the same place, but it's hard to tell when there's that much time separating the pictures. Things change so much over that period of time.

Edit: Looks like a little too much fun for the Vstrom!

The opposite bank of that crossing was even worse. Fly was riding his Strom that day also but headed home after lunch. He had his mud sampling in the morning, me in afternoon.

I think Rob might remember because of that stuck pickup.

Mr. Silverbullet, all the above is true. I don't think it was as bad yesterday. You did excellent.

Ah yes...remember this one well. Think Bastrop Joel was with us that trip.

Great ride!
