motion pro vacuum carb synchronizer #08-0010
never been used, mercury still in the bottle.
I upgraded to the fanciers model before ever using this one, and have no need for it.

the one catch is you have to come get it! (Fort Worth)

That would be great! Maybe it could become the official TWT carb sync tool? Just let me know and I'll come to you! I'm in no hurry, just when ever.

Thanks!!

I have a TwinMax that is currently loaned out to Bill (Wasabi) - I think he is finished with it and we have missed a couple of chances to swap back. I'll let you know...

sorry to bring this old post up, but does any one have a carb sync tool that I could possibly borrow?

Thanks in advance.

I think I have mine.

Bill (DFW_Warrior) was planning to do his but we haven't been able to coordinate yet...

------- goes looking -------

I don't see it, so I think Bill still has it. If I can wrestle it from him, you are welcome to borrow it...

I found out tonight that Bill is having a mini-tech day at his garage on Sunday (late morning & afternoon) and said you are welcome to come & we'll give the sync a try. PM DFW_Warrior for details.

(I'd put his address on here but the paparazzi would see it & Bill just hates to have his picture taken ;-) )

I have the tool, but I have since lost my mercury. I can't seem to find it anymore, either.

If you can spread the mercury to two tools, I have one I can donate to the cause.

Thanks Chipset, I would not know were to begin to deal with mercury and such.

There are several types of pressure-bases sync tools - several use liquids (inluding mercury) to indicate the pressure/vaccuum level. The Twin Max is electronic for 2 cyclinders at a time. I have seen one of the Motion Pro tools that is for 4 cyclinders.

There are also several home brew (and cheap) solutions that folks describe in most of the bike-specific forums. Several use some type of oil or heavy fluid like ATF.

Losing the mercury is a very bad thing - that stuff is toxic. i borrowed a mercury based tool and had it at a friends. Some mercury spilled and went all over his garage floor - zillions of little teeny silver balls... (cleaned up with a vaccuum cleaner)
