Howdy,
:tab For those of you in the North Houston area, Montgomery country has started repairs on FM's 1791 and 149. At first I was thinking they might actually repave both roads. That appears to have been wishful thinking. :( Tonite I ran down to Kings for dinner with Beth. FM 1791 has large chunks being ground out of it by the big stripper machine. Then they replace this with a rough asphalt and spread it around then pack it. On straights, this is not too bad even though it is a bit rough. However, there are places on 149 where they have marked the bad spots with paint and many of them are in curves. These patches are rough and have lots of grooves running different directions. It will certainly make taking the corners a little more exciting. I imagine the road work will take several weeks or more to complete. Until then, please be extra careful.
