Bastrop area DS routes?

Hi,

Is there any recommended DS routes around Bastrop? I have noticed roads under the power-line towers off 95 from Elgin. Is it legal to ride?

A PDF map or Garmin file would be super.

In Colorado, there is an excellent DS map/book for the entire state w/commentaries I saw being sold in Leadville book store. Perhaps something like that for Texas would be practical.

I've ridden through so many times and let my eyes wander down some of those dirt sections... but I've always been with street riders and didn't have an opportunity to check them out.

I'll go explore if we think it's legal!

Yes...they look compelling. We received almost FOUR inches of rain near Georgetown today. I think Bastrop might have gotten really soaked also.

That much rain tends to make DS a little tough.
