View Full Version : Paying it forward #10 Shoei RF-1000 Size L

I have a Anthracite Shoei RF-1000 that is about 2 years old in size L. It is the first helmet I bought and I guess I learned the hard way that the helmet will loosen up a bit as it ages and it is too big for me. I really haven't worn it that much and it still has a new smell to it. I have the tinted shield and the clear one with an anti-fog thing on it that I don't care for. I would buy a new clear one if I were to keep the helmet.

The helmet has a scuff mark on the top but it has not be dropped.

I would like to see this helmet go to a new rider and I really don't want to ship it, so someone in the Houston area will get it. (Houston area = 90 mile radius from the Tomball area.

I'd like to offer a preemptive dib on behalf of another TWT member who recently bought their first bike. I have the same exact helmet (size and color) and would like them to try mine on for size. I've PM'd this person about this thread. If this doesn't comply with the intent of "paying it forward" please ignore this request.

wow, I was planning to go helmet shopping this weekend but I would love to take it off your hands. I just bought a GS500 last month in anticipation of the cool weather. Please let me know if the last guy falls through, I'll be there in a heartbeat.

You can buy different cheek pads for the RF 1000 to adjust the fit . SEYA

Yeah, unfortunately I have a pin head. ;-) The cheek pads wouldn't help me much. I could grow my hair out to fill in the extra space but I would just look silly.

Helmet is officially gone. Tinted shield went with it. Sorry.;-)
