View Full Version : MotoGP opener at Suzuka: newbies make good (spoiler)

Well, the 2003 season opener for MotoGP at Suzuka is now history. Bayliss, Edwards, and Hayden finished 5th, 6th, and 7th, respectively - very respectable showings, indeed! Rossi won it, which is almost "of course", but it's still going to be a phenomenal season. Hmmm, can't recall at the moment where Roberts ended up, but Ducati got on the podium with Capirossi in 3rd!
Yeah, baby! :-D
I wish your subject gave a little less away. :( Granted, it's not much, but I'd prefer to not know anything about the race before I watch my tape.

Hopkins was 12th and Roberts was 13th (nothing like being beaten by your 19 year old rookie teamate), which is still pretty sad considering both finished behind Haga, who fell, and had to get a push start off the wall. I hope Suzuki can do something with that GSVR machine to get it back into the mix before the year ends
