STORM at Powell Ranch Nov 4 and 5, 2006

We were at the STORM race held at Powell Ranch just south of Bastrop on the weekend of November 4 & 5, 2006. Alex (Mopower) finished 4th in Schoolboy and Kyle finished 2nd in 50cc Beginners class.

I've got a few pictures and a couple or more videos I will post as time allows but thought I would get started with this video.

I don't know what happened to the sound at the first of the clip but at least it started just before they came past where I was standing. Alex is on a KTM 125 SX and C-13 was on a KTM 250 SX.

He is a little ticked off at the photographer, I forgot to check his chain after practice and it cost him a possible 1st place finish.

That was a great race. I learned that the 2 hour guys are STUDS!
I jumped up for this one race and realized that I prefer the 1 hour

They put on a heck of a race.


Tried to get a good shot of the winner but he was moving quicker than my shutter speed was functioning.

Mopower and KTM Kruzer (KTMTalk screen name) changing out a clutch hose before the 1 hour start. The hose repairs weren't completed in time and KTM Kruzer had to miss the race.





The following were taken by my youngest (U-13) trying to perfect his race day photos.









The two without helmets are another couple of fast riders from MSRA, Treetagger is the oldest and a 2 hour racer (took first in his class, first in class for the year and first overall B for the year), the younger is racing 85's this year placed 3rd in his race and finished 6th overall.
