Hey everyone, I'm going to be out at Cycle Ranch over the Thanksgiving holiday so I can shoot some pictures of the race for a photography project.

I have a few questions:

1) Does anyone know how I can get in contact with these people so that I can possibly avoid paying, or perhaps a decreased price of the $40/day fee in exchange for giving them a copy of the photos?

2) I'm a street rider, so shooting motocross is going to be a different experience altogether. What sort of shots are considered "good"? As in, what sort of pictures just pop out and make you say, "WOW!"?

3) Is anyone going to be there, possibly even racing?

Thanks! (and can a moderator please change the title due to my egregious spelling error?)

Just a guess, but I'd imagine catching air, some dirt-flinging corners, mud splatters, etc. :rider:

Go to www.houstonmotocross.com and look how some of the photos are done there or pick up a motocross mag and get the same information.

Cycle Ranch is a great track, you can get some good shots at the starting gate or that wide first left turn. You can shoot some good shots also in front of the bleachers at the top of the hill where the bikes come up toward you then make a left to head back down.

Good luck and watch out for that roost, its tough on cameras.
