I-45N, Holzwarth exit. Small family plot from one of the settling/founding families.

SE corner, Fm-1960/Hardy East of the tracks between a Church & The strip Center of Fm1960. I'm told it was formely used by and belongs to the church.

It has been there as long as I can remember. It always caught my attention because I could not believe the Gov let it stay when they were building the interstate.

I think the original interstate had a nice bit of berth around it...and prior to the expansion it was labeled as a historical landmark.
..I can check. but offhand my guess would be from at least
the 1900's.

Funny thing, It's approx 2 miles from my house, but I've never actually
checked it out.

There's a older one in Tamina - east of I-45. Exit at Research Forest/Tamina. It goes back to the mid 1800's, but don't go there alone, and I never go unless I have my friend G Lock with me. Friend of mine's great-grandmother is buried there - she was the mid-wife to Sam Houston's "colored" children.

I was part of a volunteer crew that cleaned and mowed and bushwhacked the entire cemetary a few years back. Took GPS coordinates, did rubbings of the tombstones, etc.

If you have the Gamin Topo Maps, they have just about every known cemetery in the country marked. I have done some great DS rides connecting the dots ;-)
