From her son
The last time I wrote about my Mom. I told you all that the biopsy results for cancer were negative. She had another biopsy at Baylor from a diffrent area of the mass and it looks like some form of lymphoma. We do not know what type of lymphoma it is yet, but it appears to be in the second stage. Which is good because it is treatable.
They ran a scope on her heart, and her heart is enlarged. Which has left my Moms heart only working at 45% output (normal output is 50-70%). The problem is 45% is the cut off for the chemo treatment. They need to treat the cancer because of the location, but the condition of the heart is border line for the chemo.
They are starting medication on the heart to try to reduce the size and hopefully bring up the output. Of the people who take the medication for the heart 1/3 improve, 1/3 stay the same, and 1/3 decrease.
My mom and us kids really need your prayers. Pray that Gods will be done, and that his will is for the medication for her heart will improve her condition, and that the chemo won't totaly wipe it back out

Thanx for all the prayers
danny

The biopsy was performed on Wednesday of last week, and she was in the hospital on friday, minor procedures, I believe.

Keep em in your prayers please.

:tab Seems like everywhere I turn, someone else is struggling with cancer. It dominates every prayer list/forum/meet I am involved with. While I have seen many succumb, I have also seen many that have had successful treatment. We will pray that her heart responds favorably and the cancer treatment is successful, but most importantly, that the family stays strong during the uncertainty of these times.

Amen Scott. I've seen recoveries that are miraculous in previously believed hopeless. Good doctors, in hospitals with a lot of experience, surrounded by hope filled friends and a patient that is a believer make for a strong team.

I still wear the yellow band to remind me of my fortune of good health, and for those who have, and are fighting cancer.

God bless.

I heard from Cindy's Brother-in-law that its Lymphoma and its at level 2 (I hope that means something to somebody, doesn't sound good to me)

Danny's had one heck of a rough life and is still one of the best guys I know.

I'm praying for the whole family and Danny specifically.

Here's the latest update from her daughter Amanda :
As many of you know my mom has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. She has had her first chemo treatment and is scheduled to have her second treatment tomorrow as long as her white blood cell count is up. The gave her three shots last week to increase the count, but those shots make her bones ache and she is not allowed to take anything except for Tylenol. After this second round of chemo they will test her heart function to see if there is any change. If her heart function has decreased they will have to stop chemo because she was already borderline in the beginning. Please pray that all the test that they have to run will allow her to continue with the treatments. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
