Hey, I would love to give that shirt a new home. I ride in an un-armored leather jacket and this would help give me some peace of mind. Sending PM now...

I call second dibs. This thing would work well under my un-armored but heavily lined leather jacket that is a touch on the big side.

I'm a size Large Long or Extra Large. PM on the way.

I have a set of Icon summer gloves going to FLAME650 via snail mail. Helmets can be handed off on a weekend ride or can be packaged and sent through the mail.

:trust: Offers to keep the VSTROM company are appreciated. Would not want my Uber Commuter to feel neglected. With a new Sargent seat and Cee Bailey windscreen I hope it won't be too much of a chore for someone. ;-)

My tours to Iraq do not exceed six months, and I have it set up to be home for kid friendly holidays such as Halloween and Christmas. There are plenty of TWTEX members filtering through Iraq, perhaps we can have our own "bike night" at the chow hall :lol2: we could each bring a picture of our loved one to the meeting. Of course you can bring pictures of you family as we'll.

Matt,

I can send out the goggles this weekend. They are Silver/grey with a tribal print, grey strap with red oakley "O" on the sides. I have several new lense inserts that can be inlcuded; blue, persimmon, and possibly grey.

PM me your address and I'll send them out or drop them off. If you want to cover postage, put a buck or two in the Bell Ringer's kettle and we'll call it square.

Ronnie,

I called home to inquire about the fate of your gloves. I'll get them out again tonight. Living Room 6 (the wife's call-sign) found your package in with the influx of VStrom goodies set aside for Christmas . Sounds like one of the children might have looked in the mailbox that Sunday, and being a good boy or girl brought the "mail" into the house.

Sorry about the delay. I'll make it right tonight.

Thank you all for your kind words and support. The thought of not wearing my uniform used to be very painful, but I have found re-newed job satisfaction supporting our military.

I have been asked by many if I am bitter about my life changing injuries while in the service of our Uncle Sam. Here is my typical response...
"God saw fit to slow me down to give the rest of the world a chance to catch up."
He did not take me just yet, and for that I am sincerely greatful.

CBAT,

Did you get to use the helmet yet?

Not yet. I've been tied up with work and a few repairs; turn signals and replace broken fender bracket, new rear tire :-) ; and now I think I have a cold, staying home today. I got the goggles I needed so once I feel better I'll take a ride. Hey, I saw the trailer for the new Ghost Rider movie with Nic Cage, I think. Peter Fonda as the devil. Looks cool. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/ghostrider/

Gilk51, I should be departing at the end of January. Things are always subject to change, but for now I am to substitute for personnel slated to return by Valentine's Day.

I don't need much of an excuse to go for a ride or have some BBQ  . I think a VStrom ride is waayyy over-due. Too bad the Ghost Rider movie won't hit the theaters before I bug-out.

HJC helmet enroute?

Ghost Rider

Jeff,

Fortunately your helmet was too big for the mail box, and was not one of the packages that my 4 year old mistook for Daddy's motorcycle toys and brought back in from the mail.

Unfortunately I dropped the ball in regards to getting the helmet to you. I watched the PGR mission board to see if we would link up that week, and did not keep a good track of how much time has lapsed since then. I'll get it out tomorrow.
