There was such a good response to the first poll, I thought it would be cool to know how you like to ride

With the rubber side down.

I like doing it in the woods.

Maybe if I hadn't been in the fast group, I could have ridden home from Arkansas. :lol2:

How about twisty country road, riding alone, with one other bike, or with a small group, going either slow, medium, or a little bit fast.

And, 750-4000 mile rides spanning 4 days to two weeks staying as much as possible to two lane black tops, the twistier the better. (prefer the company of a few others but this is not necessary.)

either 2 riders 8/10ths pace on twisty roads(myself and wife) or
a small hand picked group and 6/10ths to 8/10ths pace.
Larger groups 5 or 6/10ths pace. I generaally try to keep it around the slowest riders ability.

There were only 10 places to put catagories....I'm curious though, how do you ride alone, with another bike???

Need more choices. No option for the serious LD tour guy.

Simple, setup a poll that will let you select:

twisty country road
1. riding alone
2. with one other bike
3. with a small group

going
a. slow
b. medium
c. little fast

example answer:
2.5 b.5 = three bikes, going between medium (+10 mph over) to fast (+20 over).

Interesting response so far. I selected the 4th option figuring to be in the minority.

Since it was multiple choice... I said:

Twisty country road, fast, small group
150mi. + for good pie, Lg. group, slow
Road and trail, with other bikes (mostly trail, DS!)

My first choice is to ride alone. Twisty country roads or open highway. (I ain't afraid to slab it.) I do ride in groups on occasion. Time seems to be a big limitation for group riding. I don't get much chance for recreational riding.

On barely roads , paved 30 years ago , or graded, and not worked on since , 2 bikes max . And dont need no bridges its more fun going thru the river . Any thing under a hundred miles isn't worth gearing up for . SEYA

I didn't quite see one for my favorite kind of riding which is out in the country enjoying the scenery & smelling the lack of city smells. Twisties are ok, but prefer the pace to be such that I (or we if my like minded wife is along) can enjoy the view and even stop to take a couple of pictures of something interesting.
