Joe Harrison Motorsports San Antonio

Just want to relate my recent experience with JHMS. I sold my bike to a gentleman in Utah and I had to find a motorcycle shipping crate. Joe Harrison service personnel were very helpful and provided me an entire metal frame crate with a large bag of bolts and tie-down, ratchet type, straps. I could have crated the bike up myself but decided to have it done by a "pro". JHMS doesn't provide crating service but Alamo Cycleplex does. It's $139 but if it's done correctly and the bike arrives at it's destination safely it is worth it. If I had done it myself I would have needed someone drop the crate off in the parking lot of the shipper my buyer set up, spent a few hours in the parking lot getting the prepared and crated.

The service department folks at JHMS are top-notch.

Yep, I have known Willie Layman, the service manager for about 12 years now. He is a good guy. Kevin Horton, the parts manager(he has been there 20+ years) is a good guy too..you just have to work him a little bit, He will be very competitive on prices if you ask. Also, the are one of the few local shops that actually mark their prices of accessories etc at MSRP. (Ahem..a certain Japanese bike dealer just down the road starts his prices at 30-60% above retail...cough, cough..The parts manager is a punk, smart mouthed kid)

Can't say much for the sales dept though..I have never purchased a bike from them and the turnover rate (as with most sales positions) is very high. They just went through another big management change in sales again.
