I have not seen one of these but it looks like it is grey scale?

Trying to follow a small grey line while ridding if very hard. I have gotten lost several time trying it on my GPSMap76__

Just my 2 cents

Yep, it's gray scale. Just a basic GPS. Comes loaded with North America roads and one site I found claimed it had trails included as well. Would it be worth under $150 includig the mounting kit?

The price sure seems nice but you may want to see if anyplace local has on so you can look at the screen to be sure you will be happy with the resoulation?

Good luck and may you and yours have a very Merry Christmas

I bought a Brunton electronic map wheel from Aerostitch a few years ago (you roll it over your route on a paper map and it tells you how long your route is). It was such a piece of flimsy junk and so utterly non-intuitive on how to operate that I returned it... which is something I almost NEVER do.

Unless their ergonomics, ease of operation and quality have vastly improved, I would never even consider buying another one of their products.

I've had a Brunton GPS for years. It's compact, indestructable, intuitive, and doesn't need batteries or a power cable.

It's this model:

 That one is even more complicated than the one I carry. And it's served me well for 30 years. Even if I get one of the new fancy electro gadgets, I'll still carry old reliable and a paper map. :trust:

Let me rephrase my statement ... I would never buy another one of their electronic products again. :lol2: ;-)
