I had a week with a broken speedo and I had to estimate my ending milage as I did not get to writing down my year end total. so thats 275 gallons of gas($765 approx), 12 quarts of oil ($30), 2 oil filters( $6), 2 sets of tires( $310 approx). Insurance,tags $300? total for the year $3210/12 =267.5 month plus payment $150 = $417 month. or $5000 a year!!!!! or $.45 a mile

I managed to put 11,033 miles on the Bandit and 6,200 miles on the SV650 during 2006. Adding those together gives me a "street" mile total of 17,233. Not to shabby as I normally do 10-12K per year.

So I've decided to keep track of my miles for the year using this thread.

The bike spent a few weeks in the shop getting Racetech springs & emulators installed. While in the shop they ran into a problem with the fork tubes and had to wait a bit on parts. My mileage is a bit low for the month of January, but the front end is very smooth now.

I didn't check for 2007 but I found out I logged just a tad over 10K in 10 months on the Burgman 650 for 2006. Couple long day rides and week trip to Eureka springs helped. All other miles were commuting from Arlington to Dallas.

Here is my update for Feb. I took the cage to work today because I have some errands to run after work that require more storage space than the SV has.

2007 mileage to date: 1759

950 miles for the month of Feb. The vast majority of these were commuter miles. I'm pretty lucky though, I've found a way home that takes me through a nice section of road. Fry Rd, from 529 to 290 is a few miles of sweepers and I try to learn a little bit from them every day.

Average mileage for the month of Feb: 47.5 mpg.

I'd have put a few more miles on if I'd had my heated grips installed at the beginning of the month. I chickened out a couple of days because of the cold.

I'd love to put in that kind of mileage. Even though I ride every day, being this close to work just keeps the numbers low. I know I should be thankful, but I really would love to spend a few more minutes on 2 wheels everyday.

My one trip this year added about 2k to my total, but that's pales in comparison to the thousands you've logged on trips. :bow: I'm jealous. ;)

My commute is 40 miles round trip and I ride every day. Throw in a couple 300-500 day rides once or twice a month and long trip a couple times a year and it adds up fast. I rode 4003 miles last week. While I was gone Linda flew back east to spend time with one of her girlfriends.

Having a wonderful other half and no kids in the house makes for a lot more time to ride.

Well, the Wii-Strom went over 30000 miles this week. Seems like about 1000 a month since I got the bike 2.5 years ago. Not as much as some but sure keeps the smiles coming for me...

Pretty good month for me. Got to add 1600 miles in four days on a ride that included the Tali-Mena Drive in eastern OK and western AR. If you haven't made that ride, I highly recommend it. Take a camera and allow yourself plenty of time to stop and shoot pictures. There are lots of paved turn-outs where the scenic views are breath taking.

Well, as of 12/21/07 I have 39,171. I will break 40k by the end of the year with the mileage to and from the pie run, plus some riding around town. So that puts me at just over 23k miles for the year.:eat:

Not too bad for also having June and July off due to injury. Next year isn't looking so promising though... with the addition of a dirt bike I have a feeling my street bike is going to be seeing fewer miles.

Ended up with a moderate 5,500 miles. Mileage tends to come in chunks for me since I don't commute and have been tied up for a lot of weekends this year. The GF and I are planning on taking a nice simple road trip in a few months to offset all the complicated traveling as of late.
