I bought this item about 6 weeks ago and was just too lazy to install. Install was very simple. Took the front fender off, broke out the dremel, and then cut two 1 1/2" inch notches (1/4" deep) on each side of the fender where the superbrace would contact it. Would have taken 15 minutes tops if my dremel battery was charged:doh: . Very easy install. I'm a very basic mechanic skills person and I give it 4 wrenches out of 5 for ease of install.

Overall impressions:
I was initially skeptical that the superbrace would work as advertised. I read a couple reviews from other owners and decided to give it a shot. I was doing my best to keep an open mind about it and not fall into the "placebo effect" of a new gadget/golf club/girl friend/etc.

I rode the strom just under 1k miles this past weekend and:
-high speed stability seemed to be improved
-the front tire just felt "tighter", more wired to what was going happening on the road

Other than that not much else. Was it worth the cost; yes. The incremental improvement in the bikes handling vs. the cost of the superbrace offset each other and makes it worthwhile IMHO.

I haven't had a chance to really throw the bike around my local twisties but I'll be sure to update the review once I do. I did take the strom on FM51 and it handled well there but I was riding pretty timidly due to possible police presence and just not being mentally prepared to "attack" the corners.

Overall, I give it 3 wrenches out of 5 for value and utility. I think there are better mods to get before this one and I'm sure heavier springs would do just as much for you if not more.
