does the editor's cut have any extra episodes? i've heard that the canadian version has 3 more episodes (10 vs. 7 if i recall correctly). quite a bit of the trip is missing in the version i saw (alaska *poof* new york).

The editors cut has 2 more episodes. The is mote footage in every episode and it is 2 episodes for Alaska to New York.
I don't go to *** but am downtown also

I tried to copy that DVD for personal use and couldn't get it done.

I work downtown (near Minute Maid Park) and make it to P.O.'s semi-regularly. If you can't make it up here, I'll be happy to meet you in the tunnels (or wherever) for lunch to get it. You can burn a copy fer me while you're at it.

Didn't look and stuck Disc 3 in first, seemed to play just fine.
Disc 1 is playing just fine now. Episode 2 now :popcorn:

I just finished the last Episode. I give it a big :thumb: :thumb:

Now if I could just take off on a trip even 1/4 that size...

I'll try and cross paths with you sometime after spring break and get it back to you.
Didn't want to play correctly in my DVD player, but worked like a top in the computer. :scratch:

got disc one and disc two cloned to a DVD-R image, but disc three isn't wanting to behave, I'll take another stab at it here this evening.

FYI - The clones I got. Disc 1&2 are okay, disc 3 would only come out in B&W

Disc 3 is just plain erroring no matter what I try on it. I'll haul it to work and try it on a couple other machines, but I don't think its going to be much different.
I'll keep poking at it and I'll figure something out :ponder:

I dont have my Long Way Round disks back yet. They are still in Dallas... my friend wont mail them back to me. I will have to get them next time Im up threre.

I do have a DVD called "Riding Solo to the Top of the World". Your more than welcome to it.

I tend to doubt it, especially with the book on the shelves. But ya never know.

They now have competition. I'm ordering the DVD this weekend. Looking forward to seeing *that* video. Closer to home, too. :trust:

Am I to understand from an above post that this DVD series is now out of print? I have yet to see it. Perhaps when the sequel comes out, it would be re-released or offered as a box set. I spend very little time in front of the tube so I miss out on a lot of this stuff.

I have the new one as well "The Long Way Down"

A Friend scored it somehow from the net. Watched it on my PC at home. Great quality too. Need to rip it to DVD.

As far as :Long Way Round being out of print, thats false. Look on Amazon, its easily had.
