Hi everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you or one of your friends rides a new model VFR and their bikes starts dying out upon upshifitng and then restarts when you let out on the clutch it is most likely a ground wire that is going bad. My bike eventually would not restart. The shop found that a ground wire in the wiring harness coming from the headlight had gone bad because water had gotten in there and it corroded.
The guys fixed it in no time and said they have seen several of the wiring harnesses going bad because of bad factory work. If they know this then why is Honda not addresssing it as a recall issue. If you have a VFR let's let Honda know we want this problem fixed before we get stranded out in the middle of nowhere.

:tab I wonder if this might be what happened to Chris Hayden on our Pig Chasing Rally in Arkansas in May. He was left stranded out in the middle of the mountains during some really nasty weather. His 30A main fuse was melted, even where the fuse plugs into the harness. I don't know which year his is, but it is the 02-04 model.

Adios,
