Directions:
From around San Antonio, follow signs to Sea World or Fiesta Texas to get onto the FM1604 loop (northwest side). Exit Bandera Road (Hwy 16) and head west. You will pass the restaurant on your left but will have to make a U-turn to get back to their parking lot.

I used to live near here and my shop was very close. I ate here frequently and loved the place. I have not eaten there in many years and miss it.

Hmmmm I ride right past that place almost everytime I come to SA... next time I'll stop. We had a good mexican food place in Utopia for a while but unfortunately they got forced out by the locals... too much competition.

My sister-in-law and bro-in-law live off Bandera Rd. in Helotes. I'll have to go check that place out next time we're at their place visiting.

Yeah, we are about 5-10 minutes from the el Chaparral in Helotes and it is usually the first place we take folks when they come to visit! Great food and a very nice restaurant. We even tried the one in Boerne with some friends who live there and it is equally nice. But go early, as the place is very popular and on the weekends it gets crowded quick!

The next time someone's in town and wants to meet up there, let us know!

And, if you're not quite hungry when you get there, keep heading west on 16 until you hit Bandera, then eat at the Old Spanish Trial. We eat breakfast in the John Wayne Room on Sunday mornings when I go out with the Bandera Breakfast Run crowd!
