Who else is going to be out at Barnwell this weekend?
It sounds like it is going to be an interesting weekend with all of the recent rain. :trust:

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday - conditions should be perfect for the first round of the AMA National Enduro Series - plus they will be running the
"new" European/ISDE qualifier rules for the entire series this year.
If see a black Ford van , bright orange graphics with EZ up's stop and say howdy on Saturday afternoon.

Hope you guys are feeling better, you missed a good one!
This turned out to be a fantastic race! The course was a great mix of tight woods, tons of off-camber single-track, long gnarly climbs, and some rather technical descents.
The new format was very easy for a newbie, such as myself, to understand. The course started off with fast 4 mi. transition that was not timed. This led into the first test section. The test sections are where the riders are scored. Each test section was followed by a transition and restart.
The short course finished up with a nice long technical climb that was full of spectators. I apologize for making all of those spectators scramble for cover at the top... I had a nasty case of arm pump and I was just flogging it the whole way to the top! I would not have wanted to drop my bike on that hill
The most interesting site of the race: On the second test section I came across a ride that was having a really bad day. There were plenty of muddy holes on the course and this poor guy found the worst one! This was in a tight woods section that was a bit off camber. This guy's gas-gas was standing straight up in the air. The entire rear tire and part of the rear fender were buried in a deep mud hole. When I passed him, he was just standing there staring at his bike. It looked like he was going to have a tough time getting his bike out of that one.
I left before all of the score sheets were posted.
It was a fun was to start off the enduro season.
See you guys at Sidewinders. :rider:

Yep that was my bike! It took 5 guys to pull it out of the said mud hole. A guy in front of me washed out blocking most of the trail. So I tried to slip around him on the right side and my tire went off into the hole. It was stuck like Chuck!

No way to wheelie thru a rut that was 40 feet long.
