Yo,

Is their a portable wireles device you can move from bike-to-bike that will monitor tire pressure in a real-time fashion?

Several bikes have them but they tend to be for high-end cruisers.

All the ones I have seen have sensors on the inside of the wheel. I haven't seen any kind of air stem mounted versions.

The only ones that I have seen are like Mike Jacks describes. I looked at some a couple of years ago at an electronics show and thought about selling them. However, I was not at all sure about the accuracy. Tire gauges vary a lot from gauge to gauge and all of the the ones I saw were made in India or China. Plus you have to dismount the tire to install the sensor and be very careful when changing tires to make sure the sensor is not damaged. I think that they may be more practical for trucks etc. where a pound or two difference is not so critical as on a motorcyle.
