One of your biggest problems will be price. Nada values your bike at avg retail at $3,344. Maybe try selling it closer to that price.
Just a suggestion.

Yah, these bikes are really under appreciated by riders around here. Triumph did a great job with this model. Very well built and gives good service.
The S3 was next on my list until the Thruxton came out (oldschool). I really draw the line at owning two bikes, but you get this kind of price on this class of bike could trip me up. I think she just winked at me....

There are a few issues I want to address regarding use of the For Sale/Wanted forum.
1. Only private individuals may list items for sale here, no businesses.
2. Please include a complete description, price and contact information. Pictures are always a good idea but not required.
3. The For Sale section is intended primarily for moto related items. Members may sell the occasional personal items, but please do not use the forum as a garage sale or as a resale shop.
4. DO NOT post on a seller's thread telling them their price is to high or make any other negative comments about their listing. If you think they are asking too much, feel free to PM them to share your benevolence Violating posts will be removed
His bike, he gets to set the price. Seems fair to me.

Especially considering the fact that he's lowered his asking price... Some people will just continually bump their "for sale" listings back to the top for months and months, yet never try adjusting their offer. I've seen more than a few forums that won't let a seller bump their ad unless it's to post a new price.
Eventually, he'll post a price that nobody can resist, and somebody will snatch this thing up. Meanwhile, who would object if the thread was bumped to the top by the addition of more pics?

Sorry, venting. One of the joys of doing consulting work is that many times invoices don't get paid. Just fussing.
Sorry to jack the thread. I have a soft spot for SpeedTriples, so just maybe...

Fair warning to anyone considering this bike: I took a ride on a friend's Speed Triple and ended up buying one myself. They have a way of selling themselves... :thumb:

Have you tried posting it in Cycle Trader?
(edited due to habit of dropping pronouns.)

Wish i were in the market right now...
My next bike will be naked, and the S3 is at the top of my list.
+1 for Cycle Trader...good luck with the sale.

Daryl. You need this bike. Based on the Off-Topic threads you've been starting lately, you appear to be stewing in anger and bitterness. Adding pain by denying yourself this bike cannot be healthy. In fact, there is hope for you in this bike. This bike will get you out in the beautiful Spring weather -- improving your mood and good cholesterol; lowering your blood pressure and bad cholesterol; indeed, enhancing the quality of your life in general and, thus, the lives of those around you, i.e. SWMBO & the Chirplings.

Nah, just waaaay to much time to hang out on the Internet. Being, unem, er, a consultant will do that to you. Alas, I'd have to ditch the SV track bike just to seriously contemplate it.
But I'm still scheming.
But I am getting a huge kick out of how when I don't try, I start multipage threads that go on forever. ;-)

This post has been going on for a month! How have I missed it this whole time? How has this bike not sold yet? :eek2:
I am not ready to add a third bike, yet. I almost bought an S3 here in Dallas at the end of summer. This is a tempting bike at a good price.
Someone has to buy this before I go further into debt!

Can't believe this bike is still unsold. One more time...
Folks, he's asking just $3,000 for what is arguably one of the most entertaining street bikes ever made. If I had the money, I'd buy it just to add to my collection. ;-)
Heck, I bet there are people who have that much in loose change underneath their sofa cushions! :lol2:
