Texas law requires all operators and passengers of motorcycles to wear helmets. In Texas, motorcyclists may be exempt from the helmet law if the person is at least 21 years of age and has successfully completed an approved motorcycle operator-training course or is covered by a health insurance plan of $10,000 or more to cover injuries in the event of a crash.
