I am new to the area and wondered where to get some pants for the summer. Typically I wore jeans, but want more protection with all the traffic here.
Links, suggestions on what to get, private party items for sale, all welcome. I am about 6' and 170-175 lbs if that helps any.

Sad thing is they were less than a mile from my house when I lived in Missouri :lol2:

Joe Rocket makes a nice reasonably priced set of perforated leather pants.
I wear them all summer and there very comfortable with great protection.

If you're thinking textile, I can highly recommend the HT Air Pants from First Gear. (I bought mine from www.newenough.com.) The pants are mesh with a nice, waterproof, zip-out liner for colder temps and wet weather. (I upgraded the knee protection.) I've found them to be an excellent 3 season pant. They're also VERY useful for traveling to areas where you're not sure what type of weather you'll be encountering. <DAMHIKT>
YMMV

Go to speedzilla.com. They are advertizing their brand of summer riding jeans with kevlar. Very similar to draggin jeans at a similar price. Just a referral, not a recommendation.
Personnally, I thionk draggin jeans with soft armor is the summer ticket in Texas.

Duluth Trading Company has kevlar jeans... I have a pair and they seem pretty sturdy if you want to just wear jeans ;-) IIRC, they are much cheaper than Draggin jeans and others I've come across :trust:

I think overpants are what I need since I wear dress pants for work and changing once i get here would be a PITA and they'd get wrinkled up in the case and maybe dirty if my lunch took a dump on them.
