I have not had the chance to run this enduro before. What should I expect?

Flat, lots of elevation change, sand, clay, rocks, open, tight woods?

Thanks for the info.

No elevation changes, some serious tight wooded sections, then some more tight wooded sections. Not uncommon to wad it and find out there is tree going through front wheel, one through back wheel and one through frame, fun stuff though.

PS: Sawed off handle bars = big help :)

This will be my first Enduro. I'm just going out there to get some good riding time in.

Does anyone know if we can ride on Saturday?

Usually all of the course areas are off limits on Saturdays before the races. Unlike harescrambles, enduros are set-up with no preriding allowed.

That being said, at the national enduro a few weeks ago, there was a "jetting" loop set-up that you could ride all you wanted. This short loop offered a fair representation of what the overall course was like.

Historically this event has been held entirely on private property and no play riding has been allowed.

There is no mention of this on the flyer, but I would not expect anything different.

I'm going. It will be my first enduro, so I'm not going to bother w/ timekeeping, just try to hang w/ someone on my row who knows what they're doing.

Not sure of my row, but I registered w/ the AMSA folks, and I heard we're starting up front.

I'm loosing interest in the Enduro and I'm thinking of heading to Cherokee Cycle Park for the weekend.

I'll probably have the place to myself.

LOL! That pretty much sums it up. It was a GREAT course! Super tight, one section was posted as being 32' wide between the trees....I think they were a little generous there.

Tons of tight sandy turns and whoop after whoop anfter whoop!

I managed to zero three of the checks, but still logged 29 points over the course. I ended up finishing 3rd in my class and actually got to take home my first award!

Sorry, I didn't shoot any pics. It is impossible to shoot while you are racing.

Concho Enduro is next!!!

Hey man it was nice to meet you finally! A few things about Concho. Be sure to put slime in your tubes! This will lubricate the tube and keep you from having a pinch flat. Also air front & rear tires to 16psi. Trust me you will need it. I got a flat last year and have learned from my mistakes. I won't be doing Concho this year because we just bought a new house.

Oh yeah next time move out of my way quicker!!!!!!! J/K

Hey give me your row number from sidewinders. I think you were on row 5 or 6 because I was on row 7 and my wife was taking pictures at the finish.

Thanks for the info on Concho. I have always run slime, but I usually run 12 psi. I will plan on bumping it up a bit.

I was 5A

Oh yea don't go putting a brand new tire on your bike either. It will be eaten by the rocks quickly.
