My website contains a few day loops in Texas. It also has a trip thru Big Bend. It's fairly new, so I'm working on organizing other rides I've done.

Go to the "Trips" tab and then click on the desired ride.

Thanks,

Good start! Might I suggest downloadable .gpx files for Garmin GPS's?

Feel free to use:

I have a couple of more if interested.

I hadn't thought about including the .gpx files for Garmin units. I guess that I can do that because I still have them on my hard drive.

I'll work on it.

Thanks,

Were these created on MS streets and trips ? I use that to do some of the trips we take around here. Used it this past weekend to make a route from Round Rock to Lukenbach. The worst part is you have to point it to the twisties cause it wants to put you on the major roads like 281 and 290.

All of my maps are MS Streets and Trips. You're correct in that you have to force it to the good roads, else it takes the major shortest/fastest route. If you just take your time though, you can make it go where you want.

I usually put in the starting and ending points and then just drag the route it produces to the roads I want to ride. For example, if I start at Fort Worth and end at Taos, NM, it doesn't go the route I like to take. I just click on the route where it leaves the way I want to go and drag it to the road I want. It doesn't take too long to get it just the way I like.

Thanks,
Robert

Robert, nice work on the ride reports. As I was reading, I was hoping for a .gpx to save trip creating time. That'd be a great addition, if you don't mind sharing.

Kurt, do you have your 3-Sisters loop in a .gpx format somewhere? My Zumo is hungry for more.

Good man, Kurt. Thanks. It's already saved and loaded into Zumo. Now, to find time to make the ride. . .

Take a look at this picture from your Crawford Route.....

Check the gas price.. 2 years = almost $1.00

I have gotten in to the habit of looking for this in old movies and pictures.

Saw Predator 2 on TV the other day and Danny Glover was infront of a Chevron station sporting a sign for $1.98 regular
