View Full Version : I need one rider to go to North Carolina with us in August.

Howdy,

:tab Okay, for trip logistics purposes and for sharing rooms, we need one extra rider that can get a week off to go to North Carolina August 21(Sat) - 29th (Sun). This is going to be a mix of street and unpaved roads. You will probably want knobbies :twisted:

:tab We will be basing out of the same place a few days at a time and then riding loops out and back. I will be taking a truck and a trailer than can hold four bikes. We'll be hitting many of the popular places like Deal's Gap, the BRP, Cherohala Skyway, and lots of forest roads in the Smoky Mountain National Forest.

:tab If anyone is interested, I need a DEFINITE answer ASAP! Got questions, either post them here or email me at Tourmeister@twtex.com.

I'll be at the SMSA Conference in Charlotte 20-24 Aug. Gotta fly. No bikes for a big bike weekend. There's something ironic about that...

So, has anyone heard from the Gap Gang yet? Not that they need to contact anyone, just wondering how they are doing and all. I hope they are not having TOO much rain even though I think its enevitable to have some.

Nope. Don't really expect we'll hear from them until after they get back. Scott will have lots of good photos to post, I'm sure. Just so he can rub it in for all the rest of us who couldn't make it, you understand. ;-)

Sorry I missed you on your way back. For the first time in a week I was having more fun than ya'll. I was south of town riding and the phone reception is terrible. It was great to meet Beth and the guys. Wish I could chance going back into Arkansas before my 6 months are up. I'll make it in the spring.
