I'm having trouble getting on any TWT site from a particular computer (work) for the last couple of days. Any suggestions on how to clear this up? There's no firewall to speak of and I cleared the temp internet folder but still can't get on.

Might be a way to get be back to work but this came out of no where this week.

If you have an IT dept at work, then you should check with them to see if they are filtering your net access.

Nope.. no IT dept... just a cable modem and wireless router set-up. I check another computer in the same office (similar set-up) and it was a no-go as well.

See if you can open it using http://67.15.204.165
If so, you have a DNS problem.

If not, see if you can, from a CMD prompt:
ping 67.15.204.165
You should get "reply from..." If you get anything else, post it up.

If you can successfully ping 67.15.204.165, then try pinging www.twtex.com. If that works, PM me.

What is the error it gives you?

No error... just wont load. "cannot display page"

Will try the above tomorrow... thanks for all the input - I need my TWT fix during the day too.

Did the first thing and no luck... btw - all of the computers hooked up the our wireless network are having the same problem but they are not linked except to the cable modem.

I would try the second item but honestly... its all greek (or is that geek) to me. Please define "CMD prompt" and I'll give it a go tomorrow.

The only "tech support" I can think of to consult is the cable company... what would be some good buzz words to use if I need to work through them (oh, dreaded thought)

PS... just did a google search for CMD PROMPT and I am very leary about messing with the registry. :brainsnap

Assuming you're using Windows...

Go to:

Start
Run
Type cmd in the open field.

This will open a command prompt window and allow you to issue commands. Type the ping commands listed above and see what happens.

This has nothing to do with the registry.

Do you have any chicken blood and scorpions?
Seriously, PM me and I'll be glad to run you through a couple of things over the phone and I promise we won't touch the registry, at least not on our first date. :trust:
