I added some bar extenders (1" up and 1" back) as well as some mirror extenders. The mirror extenders were primarily added in order to deal with some buffeting I was getting on my shoulders from inside the mirrors. They also gave me a much better view behind. Anyway, both products were SW-MOTECH purchased through Twisted Throttle. Great customer service and great quality products.

Mods look great! So the rear view extenders did help with your buffeting problem?

I've had a good experience with twistedthrottle as well... good prices and quick shipping. I'm also really satisfied with my SW-MOTECH product, Givi topbox mount.

I have only had the opportunity to test them under one set of conditions, today. I rode about 80 miles, varying the speeds GREATLY. I noticed a HUGE difference, but the winds were relatively light today. Before I added the extensions, the wind would pop my right in the shoulders, buffeting pretty bad. It seems to pass just outside my shoulders now. The change in the visibility is worth the mod alone in my opinion, on the Tiger at least. I can finally see what is directly behind me. I am very happy with both products. The bar extensions really put the bars in a more comfortable position. Thanks for the compliment! I'm :-P

I got my Krauser K5 topcase and SW-Motech rack from them as well, I have been thinking about getting some Krauser K4 sidecases and SW-Motech racks to add to the Sprint. I have had nothing but good service from Twisted Throttle.

I keep checking back to see when they get stuff listed for the new Tiger. They have the new SW-Motech racks for that bike as well now so I know I can transfer my topcase (or sidecases) to that if/when I get one.

Well, since you already have the cases, seems like the ONLY obvious solution is to go buy the bike :ponder:  :rider:

They have them on the web site but you can not order them yet. I sent them an email about the SW-Motech parts on their site and they said they would probably be available in May.

I won't be in the market for a new Tiger until around the New Year anyway, I have time to wait.....

That's great! I was actually waiting on an '07 but when the local dealer got two of them in, I had a change of heart. I rolled the dice by waiting to see if I would like the '07. I sat on it and immediately knew it was not for me. It appears to be, and by all reviews definitely is, one phenomenal machine. It was just a little too "sport-bikey" for me. I wanted more of a "standard" feel. Luckily, along with the two '07's on the floor, the dealer had my '06. Needless to say, I was able to get a great deal and absolutely love the bike. I'm sure you already understand since you essentially had the same bike as mine. Good luck with the new ride. Hopefully I'll catch you on a TWT ride and check it out!

I have no complaints about my 955. It was/is a great bike. I was just ready for a change. I enjoyed the Multistrada the short time I had it and had planned to get a new 1100 Multi. Then started reading the reviews on the new Tiger and it is basically a Multi with the Triumph triple engine and ABS brakes.

I am going to get a set of those mirror extenders so thanks for the review.

I plan on putting these risers on the bike. I had similar ones on the 955 but without the anti vibration feature.

Hey, Clay, how about some "farther away" pictures of the new farkles?

Could not tell if you had any engine guards or crash bars on your bike.

I had these and liked them -

I need to get some better overall shots of the bike. My plan was to install the widgets, wash the bike, and take off for a photo shoot. I got the installation done, but the "test ride" :rider: turned into a two hour event and the wash/pictures never happened

That is my next mod I believe. Are crash bars fairly easy to install? I am new to motorcycling and if I start taking too much off, it may not all go back together  :wary:

These were fairly easy to install. You have to support the engine because they mount using the motor mount bolts but I installed them and if I can do it anyone can.

I like it. I bought it to help with some buffeting I was getting at higher speeds. The problem is I added the mirror extensions at the same time. I'm not sure which cured the buffeting, but it's gone. That's all I care about.
