Greetings T.W.T. Saw your site for the first time yesterday, posted an inquiry and liked ther response. Thank you Tourmeister.
I reside inside the loop near Memorial Park and can often be seen sneaking around Allen Parkway and Memorial on either a red 97 Ducati 900ss/sp, 96 Triumph Daytona 1200, and if the wife lets me, her 2000, Ducati M900s. That only happens after I've installed some go fast goodie or other item on it and I can justify taking it out for a shake down run. Been on bikes since 76 so I guess I qualify for the "old fart" division. Started off with a Honda CB550-4, went on to several different Harley cruisers, and then on to the world of sport riding. It pays to be diverse. Only problem with having sport bikes is that the realization of just how sport riding road poor we are in the Houston area.
I tell outsiders that for thrills we look to the highway on ramps.
Always looking for a good ride so I look forward to meeting up with some of you local types. Long distance, short distance, no problem, ( I have a couple of Iron butt patches to back that claim), as long as it's a ride. catch-ya-later,
Al "phonse" B. :chug:

:tab Welcome to the group! Have you tried registering? Doing so will let you use the private messaging, the topic reply notification feature, etc,...

:tab Are you still interested in coming up for the ride this Saturday? With all the rain we are getting during the week, it should be really plush out in the woods this weekend. Right now they are predicting perfect weather.

Master Tourmeister,
I have registered, (abrussich), just prefer to use the nickname I've been carrying for some time. I agree the scenery should be spectacular as you say and as such will endeavor to make the ride. In the event of being able to get out, (being a married guy, getting out is always a 50-50 chance thing), could you give me some directions to the meeting point. I would be coming up on I-45.
Have not seen any long range forecasts for Saturday but am hoping for a nice dry day.

Scott,
Okay, now I see the problem. "guest" is showing up under my name.
I entered the site without logging in. Sorry about that but the door was open and no sign in was requested in order to post a reply or initial inquiry.

No problem. You can use any nickname you want as long as someone else has not already beat you to it ;-) No one has used Phonse yet. When you enter the main page, on the right side there will be a log in prompt. When you log in, there is an option to have the site remember you so that you don't have to keep logging in all the time. Don't ask me how it work's, all I know is that it's a cookie thing. Even after you register, you can edit your profile and change your username any time you want.

:tab Go to maps.yahoo.com and enter my address:

1617 Woodland Lane
Huntsville, Tx. 77340

It will draw you a map right to my driveway. Come up I-45 to exit 114, get on the feeder, go through the light and stay on the feeder. At the top of the next hill is a flashing light and three way stop. Turn right and then the road immediately bends back left a little. This will be Ave. S. Go through two stop signs, past the elementary school on the right, the road dead ends but you can go right, go right up the short hill (150 feet maybe) and turn left at the top of the hill. This is Woodland lane and it is a dead end cul-de-sac. We are last on the right. Our number is 936-295-0187.
