My name is Carlton and I'm a motorcycleaholic. :D
Anyway, I'm located in Houston and a member of Houston Sportbike Network as well. I have a 2000 B/W TL1000R. I've been riding street now for about 3 years but started out on dirt bikes.
I'm in Law Enforcement so when I can, I help out my fellow riders with any related questions or comments.

Howdy Carlton,
Thanks for coming on over and checking us out. And thanks for doing a job that puts you on the receiving end of a lot of bad press in the cycling community
Adios,

I'm use to all the cop bashing on most of the boards. There is always going to be someone that, because of a poor contact with law enforcement, now feels strongly against them.
My view on that is one. If the officer is trained properly and acted professionally then the driver/rider should accept responsibility for his actions if a law was broken.
If the officer is poorly trained and acts in an "other than professional" way then I understand why there is negativity. But enough about work.
LETS TALK BIKES !

Hmmm, a police officer who rides a TLR???
It must be tough having an angel on one shoulder ("ride the speed limit") and a devil on the other ("it's a TLR, bud, ride to YOUR limit!!!" )
I have a tremendous amount of respect for LEOs in today's world...
