What: If you are looking for a great in house selection of riding gear, Moto Liberty is a great place. Audrey will take whatever time is needed to help you find something that fits right and will meet your needs. She is not pushy and won't try to sell you something you don't need. They have a large selection of textile and leather riding apparel, helmets, gloves, etc,... everything you might need.
:tab I have bought several pairs of boots and gloves from them at very competitive prices. Several of my riding friends have also bought large ticket items there and have been very happy with the level of service and prices. I highly recommend them, especially if you can go by the store.

I'll second the good review. I bought my Kilimanjaro jacket there and a pair of boots as well. They actually had a LT size and I wanted to make sure the jacket fit me before buying, which it did. Ditto the boots. Their prices are very competitive.
Also, my wife bought a perf leather jacket there. They have a large selection of women's riding gear, which is rare.
Only downside: your new clothing will reek of cigarette smoke for a week or so, as the employees smoke inside the store.

Yup I'll third it, nice folks there.
They make some pretty decent gloves as well.

When I was there a few years back, that was not an issue. If that is the case now, I will not be buying anything from them as I won't go in a store that reeks of cigarettes. Nor do I want that smell on any clothing, helmets or gear I buy. To me, that is very unprofessional of the staff.

Hmm, I didn't notice that, then again I probably wouldn't.

Adios,
I bought some gloves there one time. They still wreak and everything they touch smells like smoke.

I'll have to take back anything bad I said about Moto Liberty. I was there today and they have expanded the place. Smells like new carpet now, no smoke :-D I bought some boots and yet another pair of gloves. Got a real big discount on both. Probably the best selection of leather here in the Dallas area.
BTW, if anyone is looking to buy some gloves check with me first. I'm starting to build up a nice collection.

I found the staff at Moto Liberty very helpful. I bought a Olympia complete suit, and have been very happy with it. Ask about their store brand gloves that are kangaroo leather. I want to go back and get winter version, also. They are some good folks there.

I've bought two jackets and many smaller items from them over the past several years. I like the store. Cramped but lots of good stuff.

Haven't been there in a while, but have bought riding jackets, helmets, & the inner pads for my wife's Arai helmet there. A bit out of my way, but well worth the ride there to get what I need at a fair local price.

My wife has bought several items there. Without going online, they have the best selection of gal's stuff in the DFW area.

To be able to try on any of the riding clothes you might be wanting has super value to me. Convenience is........not having to return something that you mail ordered.
If a picture is worth a 1,000 words, what about seeing that jacket, and trying it and the one other, you missed online, worth to you?? I'm glad Moto Liberty is around. It is a good store to do business with, "The Best In Texas".

Have always had excellent service there. I try to buy local if possible and only go to the net for special items and or stuff not available local.
Moto-Liberty I beleieve has the best on site selection of gear in DFW. They have great discounts on older gear when the new styles arrive.
I was in there this Saturday and bought some wheel chocks to set up my car trailer for 4 bikes and cool vests. Also had a buddy along who just got back in riding and he left with full riding gear. Again prices and service are always good.

A belated tale of praise for Moto Liberty. and a big :thumb: for the crew at Moto Liberty and especially Audrey.
A little background. The weekend of the show in Ft Worth, we picked up coupons for $10 off. I was jonesin' for a new helmet as my son was just starting to ride and he was going to inherit mine. I bought a nice Scorpion & some glove liners on Saturday. As luck would have it, I was lucky enough to win one of the prizes in a drawing held on Sunday--for a helmet. :eek2:
I went in a couple of weeks later really just hoping to get a partial credit for the helmet I won. Without even asking, Audrey gave me full store credit for the value of the helmet.
Besides this experience, the folks there just seem to really enjoy the sport, what they do, and helping others enjoy the sport.
Just recieved some replacement parts for my sidi boots friday. Tried to order em way back in march and was told Out of Stock. Pretty darn cool to be remembered from that long ago. Not too mention the $$ saced on NOT having to buy a new pair of boots!

I saw in Ride Texas mag that the store has been expanded - might be worth a stop by to see what's new. Definitely won't be as tight confines as before.

I did pretty much exactly the same thing as you did except I got winter gloves :)
Very helpful, those guys.

This might be the wrong forum for this thread, but you have to get your gear someplace, right? I have no affiliation with Moto Liberty...
I thought I'd pass along a positive customer service story . I've been needing a good pair of mesh riding pants for a while. I really wanted to get a pair before the THC event this weekend, but never quite got around to placing an online order. Last minute, I decided to call a local shop, Moto Liberty, so I could just pick them up in person. I called around 3pm, the day before yesterday [like I said, last minute ], and told a guy named Nathan what I wanted. The Firstgear pants I was after aren't an item they stock, although they do carry other FG stuff. Nathan pulled up the part number, and said one was available in Texas. I told him to get it, thinking I'd be lucky to pick them up Friday morning on the way to Vanderpool.
Well, I got a call yesterday from Moto Liberty, telling me my order was in. I was sure there was a mix-up, but I was wrong. I picked up my size 48 Firstgear Mesh-Tex 2.0 pants about 24 hours after I called. There was no additional charge, either. The best price I found online for these was about $108 + shipping. Moto Liberty charged $129 +tax.
I'm pretty impressed.

After this weekend, I'll let you know what I thought of the pants themselves. I like them so far...

I have bought stuff from them a few times and was just in the store last week. I too am impressed with their customer service. (May I try those pants on sometime? ;-) )

I've only been over there a couple of times but I bought gear each time there.
I bought some Olympia Air Glide pants from them (along with the jacket and waterproof liners). They didn't have the grey pants in stock that I wanted. I made sure I knew the right size I needed by trying on the black ones they had. A couple of days later they were delivered to my door at no extra charge.
I really like their selection of gear they offer. Good stuff!

I bought my riding pants, jacket and helmet there at pretty good prices, and each time they spent quite a bit of time helping me pick them out. Thumbs up.

I've bought 2 EXO700 Scorpion helmets from them. While I was talking to them when buying the 2nd one I mentioned I wrecked and that was why I was getting the new one, and that I had purchased the first one from them, so they gave me 5% off my purchase for being a loyal customer, haha!
I'll take what I can get when it comes to saving some cash on gear

I'm too far south to shop at Moto Liberty, but I've only heard good things about them. I also have the same pair of FirstGear pants. Going on season two now and the pants are a delight. I've got 5 different jackets - but only one pair of riding pants.

For the gals, my wife gets pretty much all her gear at Moto Liberty - they seem to have a lot more stock and selection in women's sizes than any other storefront.
Oh, and I have bought a few things from them, too... ;-)

Two weeks ago I went with my wife and got her the Olympia Airglide jacket and pants... and I got 10% off just because I asked (officially - because I bought both pants and jacket).
Very cool place!!

Pretty much the same happened today for me. I was in there with my wife looking at a new jacket and some gloves. Finally decided on the jacket that I wanted and got some glove liners to make my current ones a bit more bearable. My wife was paying while I went to the restroom (d*mn Coke breakfasts) and when I came out and we left my wife told me that she had been given a 10% discount because she mentioned this was my Christmas present. I'm pretty happy with these guys and will definitely be going back.

Decided to get an Olympia Bushwacker in Hi-vis last night. Called up Audrey at 10:05 this morning and she pulled it for me to pick-up this afternoon. Got there, jacket is in the back as promised. Always a nice experience.
