Sold -FS: Honda Shadow VLX-DLX

Time to part with Red Sonja; my Honda Shadow.
She's a sweetie, but the Wee-strom is my king.

Details:
1999 Honda Shadow VLX-DLX (600cc)
3488.4 miles. Yup, that's correct. Low mileage.
She has been a Garage Queen most of her life; previous owner and myself.
Color: red and black.
Blemish on left side of gas tank.

Accessories:
New battery.
Leather side bags, easy on/off.
Leather seats, including pillion seat and pillion backrest.
New windshield and engine guards.
Replaced stock control levers with ergonomic levers (I have small arthritic hands)
Bar lock and keys.
Dowco cover.
Service manual.

$3,000. Will consider offers.

History:
Husband bought bike new for wife, wife rode it a few times and dropped it when pushing it into their garage. Scared wife, she never rode it after that, husband took out for a spin every now and then. Kept and maintained in garage until I bought it.
I rode it for a few months, added some accessories, then realized I needed something other than a cruiser. Since then, she has again been a Garage Queen.

She's really a sweet bike; listening to that throaty growl and remembering how sweet she handles and rides, makes me sad to see her go. But I have my wild mustang now and Red needs a new and good home.

They really are great little bikes for the money. Light, easy to handle and low seat height. The 99 and earlier had dual-carbs which give them a little more pep and hp over the 2000 and later single carb models. Add a Dynojet Stage 1 kit and you have a pretty peppy small V-Twin.

If you're into tweaking/modding, this forum has lots of great ideas and good tips, except for the loud pipe advocates.

Thanks for that info! She really is a sweet bike and, as you said, a dream to handle. And she's a looker, too ;)

But cruisers and I just don't agree. I needed something with my feet under me and ability to lean over because of my bad back.

I'd like her to go to a good home.
(reminds me of selling my first horse...... it was.... traumatic)

Elzi dropped Sonja off at my house (10 minutes east of I20 & 635 interchange in Mesquite) this week and i'm finishing polishing a couple bits before i relist her all over the bloddy internet. I'll also be adding a bunch more pics.

Really nice bike, runs and rides like new. Makes a great Fathers-Day/Graduation/belated Mothers-Day/Birthday/early Christmas or just becasue you care present! :trust:

Couple of boo-boos from being dropped, but from 10 feet away she's a 10. Heck, 'cept for 3 small scratches and the scrape on the side of the tank, she's a 9.5+ from 10 inches... :)
