Thought I would post a link to the slide show from Round #3 of the STORM Series race held at Cave Springs Ranch. I've still got a little editing to do on it but here is the link.

Mopowers bike with new graphics before the race in front of our 5 Star accomodations.

It actually worked and enabled him to finish and do quite well for his first time on the bike since January.

Tony nice pics! Question, after #14 are they all video's? I'm on dial-up and pretty much lock up there!

I've got a video for most of the starts and then it goes back to photos. I'll see if I can get a picture only slideshow.

Hey Tony, did you get the bolt out? Mine did that also. I drilled a 1/8" hole in the bottom of the swinging arm near the weld. It was full of water. Let it drain & blew air in it. After several days I sprayed liquid wrench up in the hole every day for about a week & kept trying to turn the bolt easy. Also tap on it. When it finally started to turn & just kept working it back & forth for about 2 or 3 beers. It will come out. Clean it up, put anti-seize on it & the other side.

Thanks for the news release. :rider:

So what type of racing is this? Any info on classes? Looks like it is an age/ displacement system.

I'm planning on working on the bolt today. I told Alex it was probably full of water so drilling the hole was on a list of things to do to the bike. I hadn't thought about blowing air into the hole, thanks for the tip.

We should have a good track laid out for the next race. I haven't had a chance to see any of the course but Alex worked with Pops and Dan on the clearing some of it and he is saying they have a good one set up.

This was a Hare Scramble. Our next race is scheduled for our home track, Outlaw Trax just outside Richards, Texas. The Outlaw race, hosted by MSRA will be a tighter romp thru the woods than San Angelo.

You are correct in that there is both age and displacement along with skills. Alex (Mopower) races the 1 hour B line which is the 250 cc "C" class with no age limit. Pops (Woodsguy) races on the A line in the 1 hour over 50 "A" class. Chris (Mcrider) races the 1 hour G line which is the over 60 "A" class.

Instead of trying to remember the breakdown of the different lines and classes here is a quote or four from the rule book about the divisions.

A rider will ride the motorcycle in the class in which the motor was manufactured for according to
the following factory cc sizes:
50cc 0-51cc
60cc 52-65cc up to 90cc 4 stroke, min 12” max 14” wheel, 45” WB
80 A 66-85cc Max 14” rear wheel, to 150cc 4 stroke, WB 51” or less
80 C 66-85cc Max 14” rear wheel, to 125cc 4 stroke, WB 51” or less
School Boy class 86-125cc 16” Min. rear wheel, up to 250cc 4 stroke, WB 52” min.
250cc class 86-250cc 16” Min. rear wheel, 2 or 4 stroke, WB 52" min
Open class 251cc & up 16” Min. rear wheel, 2 or 4 stroke, WB 52" min
Women 86cc and up 16” Minimum rear wheel, min WB 52”

If a Youth rider is the correct age on the first of January, then, they can stay in that class for the
remainder of the season. Proof of age (driver’s license or birth certificate) will be required before you
may sign up for the series. Age Classes (Over 30, 40, 50 & 60) must be the correct age on the
date of the event.

Thanks Pops, I was going to try and wait until someone started a photo album for the race and then add the photos to it. I might have to just go ahead and start the photo album myself if it's not done later today.
