I was glad to see that Redwing is now offering a line of Motorcycle Boots.

I'm gonna try and find some of these for my next pair. Fully Made in the USA.

I have tortured many pairs of Redwings doing factory work in years past.

They held up better than any other brand of boot I tried.

I have a pair I wear a bit riding, not motorcycle redwings, just the good lace up work boots. They are fine except they aren't waterproof and take days to dry.

Hopefully they waterproofed the bike boots better.

This will be my next pair of boots:

They are made in the U.S.A. somewhere in the upper midwest...I want to say Minnesota.

My next door neighbor bought a pair about six months ago. He tells me they are flat-out the most comfortable pair of footwear he has ever owned of any type and he wears them everywhere. Good thing you can send them back to be re-soled!! He also says his feet stay completely dry in the rain. And he has the men's side zip!

That's a pretty good testimonial to me.

While not specifically motorcycle boots, I personally prefer Danner (Made in Oregon) to Redwing. They have more modern materials and features including Gore-Tex liners. I use the Acadia model and they hold up exceptionally well to the rigors of a street medic. Resoleable too. It's good to have American made choices.

You can find these for about $175 online.

Had some excellent feedback on some other boards on the Oxtar Matrix boots. I found that www.newenough.com has them on sale for $139.00. I wear a size 11 and they matched my size/fit spot on.

Only had them a few weeks but have been very happy with them even in the heat. Had 2 days of MSC range training (black hot parking lot) and my feet didn't cook. They have a goretex liner as well.
