View Full Version : What do you use to mount and power your Garmin Quest GPS?
I just got one and need to purchase a mount to use on my Strom. Also what do you use to power it up and did you hook it up directly to battery?

I use a RAM mount for my GPS. That makes it fairly easy to take it off when stopped. I power it with a Garmin cigaretter lighter plug. Of course you have to wire in a cigarette lighter socket. I have mine "under the dash", because I didn't want to cut a hole. If I were to do it again, I would just cut the hole.

I also use RAM mounts for my Garmin (2610, not Quest). Very secure, versatile and the price is right.
I have mine wired to my fuse block...which is wired directly to the battery. It's always hot so I can use the GPS with the ignition off.

See my site http://cycletips.blogspot.com for info on mounts. You'll find info and pics on Techmount and Ram options.
